Privacy policy
Effective October 23, 2026 · Rank My Rushmore, operated by Caden Bartlett
Rank My Rushmore is a social drafting game. Contact cadenbartlett4@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests. Please do not put private or sensitive information in names, categories or answers.
What the game stores
Online play stores display names, categories, ground rules, picks, votes, game results and the session identifiers needed to run a room. Optional profiles store a display name, friend code, friends, statistics, designs, leagues and recent games. The game database stores hashed recovery keys and sign-in tokens; keep your recovery key private. Reports and score feedback store the content and context you submit so the operator can review them. If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send.
Necessary cookies remember your game seat and optional profile. The answer queue and sound preference stay on your device. Temporary hashed network identifiers limit abuse. Our hosting platform records technical request logs to run and protect the service. These can include IP addresses and the country inferred by the hosting platform, request URLs and query strings such as room codes, referring-page URLs, cookie headers including session cookies, and request timing and processor-use measurements. We do not add advertising trackers or sell your information.
Who can see your picks
Room members see submitted answers immediately. Anyone with an ordinary room code can watch its TV view. Solo rooms are limited to their creator; league rooms require membership and quick matches are limited to the matched players. Shared replay and friend-challenge links expose the names, picks and results shown on that page to anyone who has the link. Friends can see your display name and game totals. Reports and blocks are private to the reporting player and the operator.
AI judging
When AI judging is used, the game sends the category, eligibility rules and answer text to Groq to estimate broad appeal and produce a verdict. It does not include your display name, recovery key or session cookie in that request. Friend challenges use anonymous mountain labels. These scores are estimates, not a poll of the public. Choose Player Voting in a private lobby to avoid AI judging.
Groq processes this information under its privacy policy and data controls. Groq states that inference inputs and outputs are not retained by default, with limited troubleshooting or abuse-monitoring retention. Groq also retains service-usage metadata that does not contain inference inputs or outputs. We do not claim that this account has Zero Data Retention enabled. Hosting and AI processing may take place outside your country.
Storage and deletion
Rooms expire after 24 hours. Recent game recaps are available for up to 90 days, friend challenges for 30 days, and judging caches for up to 30 days. Cleanup runs during service activity. Profile statistics, friendships and league records persist until you delete them or close the associated profile or league. Score feedback remains until associated profile or guest deletion, or operator removal. Safety reports and enforcement records are kept as needed to resolve abuse and protect players.
Hosting request logs are separate from game records and are not removed by the in-game deletion buttons. Their retention is managed by the hosting platform. Contact us with privacy requests involving those logs.
Delete your profile from My profile. This removes its sessions, friends, statistics, designs and associated records, and removes your name and picks from retained game snapshots. It ends current games you are in. Other players’ historical results remain. Previously downloaded screenshots or copies shared outside the service cannot be recalled. We retain opaque identifiers, without display names or picks, to prevent deleted data or credentials from being restored.
Delete guest game data
Delete the online seats and picks connected to this browser or app session. This ends current games you are in. Other players’ historical results remain, with your name and picks removed. This also removes games played through this session from profile history; it does not close your profile. A saved profile has its own Delete profile button in My profile.
The iPhone app
The app keeps an unfinished offline draft and up to 30 completed offline games on your device. Clear results in Offline pass & play → Saved offline results → Clear history. Leave game discards an unfinished draft. Online deletion does not clear offline saves. The online game uses the same service and privacy choices as the website. Before first online use, the app explains the connection and AI data use and asks you to agree. You can withdraw online access in About & privacy; this closes the online page and stops its requests while preserving your sign-in for a later choice to reconnect. Withdrawal does not delete information already submitted. Use the deletion controls above or in My profile for that.
Your choices
Profiles are optional. Use Player Voting or offline pass-and-play if you do not want AI judging. You can report content, block a player, remove friends, leave leagues and delete your data. Email us for access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests; we may need to verify that the records belong to you. The service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate.
